On Tuesday 27th of October, ZURU, one of the fast-growing toy companies that started in New Zealand, made a visit to our Industry 4.0 Laboratory. The main purpose of their visit is to seek potential opportunities for collaboration. Our research team gave a brief introduction to our lab which is followed by a number of project demonstrations, e.g. “Flexible Manufacturing Cell with Distributed Intelligence”, “Intelligent machine window based on Augmented Reality for machine tool”, “RFID tracking on metal parts in manufacturing”, “Autonomous fleet management of warehouse robots”, “Cloud-based manufacturing monitoring and control”, etc.
Some Part 3 mechanical engineering classes were present, too.
