We are excited to introduce four new members who recently joined the LISMS Research Group. Their diverse academic backgrounds and expertise bring valuable skills and perspectives to our team.
- Jinlong Chu is a new PhD student in the LISMS Group. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Vehicle Engineering from the China University of Petroleum (UPC) in Qingdao. He completed his Master’s degree in Intelligent Manufacturing at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). During his introduction, Jinlong shared highlights of his hometowns, Dalian and Qingdao, including famous foods like shrimp fried dumplings and Qingdao beer. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys swimming and hiking and values building meaningful relationships.
- Yinwang Ren, a new PhD student, comes from Luoyang, Henan, a city rich in history and landmarks such as the Longmen Grottoes and White Horse Temple. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Zhengzhou University and a Master’s degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), specializing in industry software and Digital Twins in Smart Manufacturing. Outside of academics, Yinwang enjoys hiking and playing basketball.
- Tom Squividant, a visiting student from Bretagne, France, previously studied at SIGMA Clermont, where he specialized in industrial processes, systems, and logistics. Tom is fluent in French, English, and Spanish and enjoys basketball and running. His professional experience includes optimizing machining processes at Marquage Moderne and improving supply chain flows at Kohler Energy. At LISMS, he is continuing the work of Luka and Nico, focusing on CNC machine integration and addressing operational challenges in the manufacturing cell.
- François Ragu, another visiting student, comes from Le Mans, France, and has a background in mechanical engineering. He previously studied in Clermont-Ferrand, specializing in logistics and industrial systems. François has worked on streamlining maintenance, improving production systems, and enhancing operational efficiency. At LISMS, he plans to leverage OPC UA to improve the KUKA Cell by integrating CNC systems. In his free time, François enjoys rugby, running, and cooking.
We welcome Jinlong, Yinwang, Tom, and François to the LISMS Research Group. Their contributions will enrich our research and encourage new collaborations in advancing smart manufacturing systems. Keep an eye out for updates on their exciting projects!
